Serene Scene: Weleda Naturals in January
1/27/2010 1:36:08 PM

The Customer Center at Weleda Naturals, in the small village of Wetzgau, Germany, was built in 2006. It’s a small building on one edge of Weleda’s expansive Biodynamic® gardens, with just enough room for our visitor center, a shop, our offices and an organic restaurant, which is normally bustling with people. It is January now, however, so everything is still, peaceful and serene. The garden sleeps under nearly eight inches of snow; our ducks stay in a glass house with a heater; our tour guides are on vacation.

In nice weather, when everything is in bloom, we manage sightseeing tours through the gardens, and we also hold seminars and wellness workshops. Last year, we did more than 600 tours for more than 14,000 guests. One of our tours takes a total of three hours! Often, after sightseeing and learning all about Weleda, our guests will sit outside and relax on our small deck, enjoying the beautiful view of the gardens in bloom. At the end of this month, we are hosting a day-long Adventure Day. Guests will learn how to give hand and foot massages, take a workshop on facial care and tour our gardens.

As for me, I love all kinds of sports, although I have to do them indoors this time of year. I always tailor my Weleda Creamy Body Wash to my workout. After Pilates or yoga, for example, I use our Pomegranate Creamy Body Wash, because the fragrance is soft and calming. After a more intense workout, such as jogging, lifting weights or spinning, I like to use the Citrus Creamy Body Wash. It helps sustain my newfound energy.

What about you? Which Weleda Body Wash is your favorite? How do you choose which one to use? Let us know!
