The Many Benefits of Massage

A soothing massage may seem like a luxury, but in fact, it’s more than just a quick escape from the whirlwind of our busy lives. Boasting a wide range of benefits, massage can—and should be—an important part of healthy, balanced lifestyle.

I try to book her when I can; her massages always seem to restore harmony to my mind, body and senses and leave me feeling like a new person.

Just what are the benefits of massage? According to Patricia, there are many. “The benefits of massage include increased circulation, lower blood pressure, greater relaxation and less anxiety, improved sleep and decreased muscle tension, so you feel more centered, less stressed.” Massages that utilize natural, plant-based oils like Weleda’s Arnica Massage Oil will also help improve your skin tone and texture. Aromatherapy massages, done with a tension-taming oil (Weleda Lavender Relaxing Body Oil is a good one), can do double duty to help ease your mind—and your muscles.
