Stay Well Tips From Our Compounding Pharmacy
Fall arrived in earnest here in the Northeast. Most of the trees have already dropped their leaves, and nature seems to be winding down for a period of rest. This is very much in contrast with all the activity in our compounding pharmacy, which is located in the very same building as our North American headquarters in Palisades, NY. During late fall and winter, we receive many prescriptions for our homeopathic cold and flu remedies. A product that is frequently ordered  is our Eucalyptus/Archangelica comp ointment. This homeopathic ointment is suitable for both children and adults. Applied to the chest and back, it helps with chest congestion and...

Guest Post from Natural Makeup Artist Jessa Blades
We've been a fan of organic beauty consultant and makeup artist Jessa Blades for a long time. She's committed to making women look their best, without sacrificing personal well-being. She uses only the best natural and organic products available (like Weleda!) to help her clients steer clear of dangerous chemicals and toxins. She wrote a guest post for us about her recent trip to Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture. This summer I had the opportunity to visit Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture up the Hudson in Pocantico Hills, NY, to talk to the staff there about my work as an organic beauty consultant...

Product Spotlight: Pomegranate Body Oil
In my last blog, I wrote about the benefits of Rosemary Hair Oil and how it pampers your hair. But nourishing natural oils aren’t just good for your hair—they’re also beneficial for your skin! Especially now, with the November air growing colder, our skin needs extra nourishment to make it through the winter healthy and beautiful, despite heated office buildings and harsh winter winds. Weleda’s Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil nurtures and smoothes our skin, while protecting it from skin-damaging free radicals. Its mix of organic jojoba, sesame and sunflower oils, combined with powerful organic pomegranate seed oil, makes it...

Sun Safety Tips
I can always tell when summer is in full swing on Monday mornings when weekenders return from the beach, looking like they forgot to apply enough sunscreen. I also see the sunburned faces and shoulders of baseball fans whenever I take the train to New York City on a day when the Yankees are playing at home. Personally, I am a fan of biking and rollerblading outdoors during the warmer months, so I definitely have to wear sunscreen. My skin is very fond of our Sea Buckthorn Body Oil as an after-sun treat. It absorbs very easily and contains antioxidant-rich organic sesame seed oil to promote skin renewal and protect against skin-damaging influences. I...
