Pomegranate (Punica Granatum) Seed Oil

Native to Persian Empire in what is today Iran, Iraq, Greece and Turkey, among other countries, the pomegranate plant is a shrub or small tree that has been cultivated by humans for millennia. Since antiquity it has appeared in art, literature and legend as a symbol of life, power, beauty and fertility; which is appropriate as some pomegranate trees are known to live for over 200 years. Today, pomegranates are widely grown throughout India and Middle East. The most coveted part of the tree is the fruit itself which contains hundreds of seeds encased in juicy arils. These seeds are rich in punicic acid and have strong anti-oxidant properties that help promote cell renewal and regeneration.

Millet (Panicum Miliaceum)

Millet originally grew in eastern India and was cultivated in China as early as 2500 B.C. where it was regarded as one of the five holy plants. First recommended by the Greek philosopher Pythagoras to promote health and strength, millet has since been used in skin care to fortify and enliven. This type of grain grows to a height of up to 4ft with broad leaves and hanging panicles. It is more resilient to harsh conditions than other grains, often flourishing in areas that would otherwise be too cold or dry. The seed extract contains mono- and polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E that contribute regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. The extract also contains silicic acid that promotes the formation of collagen and elastin while helping to retain moisture.

Macadamia Ternifolia

Derived from the Macademia Nut of a small evergreen tree, this emollient oil spreads easily on the skin, and it is well-received and utilized by the skin. The non-greasy oil leaves the skin smooth and soft.

I received a bottle of Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil as a gift. I've never been much of a fan of after-bath/shower body oils before this. But this product has changed my mind and how. I just love it!

Unlike many other body oils (and some lotions) on the market, Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Oil is:

-Pleasant to apply. Absorbs quickly without a greasy feeling left on the skin.

    -Beautifully and delicately scented.

    -Contains all-natural, nourishing ingredients

-Makes a significant difference in the appearance of skin; even those tough-to-tackle oh so dry footsies!

This product is a keeper! My go-to after bath treat! :-)
